The Cricketers Arms, Keighley

First came across this pub in April 2007 ,and my girlfriend, a local, decribed it as "rough"...they were advertising an evening of finger-picking blues, so we came to have a look.

What we found was a basic, but great little pub, serving very good beers, and some lethal cider..with friendly barmen, and a great crowd, well into their music...hmmm, interesting how wrong you can be!

Ok it's not built for comfort in the upstairs (street level) bar, but then we'd come for the music, so I really couldn't care about that.

Came back again in June for an evening of more "mainstream" blues, and again, had a good evening, with some good music...

Both these evenings were Tuesdays, and ok, its never going to be the busiest night of the week, but where I'm from in Essex, you just don't get live music in local pubs during the week, so it was a real pity to see it wasn't better supported - the crowd(!) was no more than 30 people on either night...

You've got a great little pub here - come and enjoy it!!

Going down tonight - thursday 14th June - to see what's on...both bars open tonight, so hoping for a better supported night, but looking forward to enjoyable music yet again....
