The Spread Eagle Inn, Stourton

Excellent food - at first I thought it was a bit pricey but by the end of the meal I decided it was well worth it. Excellent wine selection and good choice of beers. Also Ashton Press cider which is delicious.

The Lamb Inn, Hindon

Hindon is spoilt for choice with both this pub and The Angel opposite. I have always enjoyed visiting the Boisdale in London which now owns the Lamb. I have to say that although the food is always good we waited over 3/4 hour for our main courses to come and then when we mentioned it to waiting staff were told it was our fault! Shame because previously had a high opinion of this place, my last experience was most off-putting.

The Angel, Hindon

I live fairly locally and this would be my number one venue. I usually save it for special occasions and it has never been a let down. The service is excellent - friendly and very professional, and the food is very good too.
