Ash Tree, Ashford

I agree it doesn't look very inviting from the outside, but I think this is the best pub around here. The staff and locals are very friendly. They always welcome new faces, unlike some pubs! i.e. Black Dog.

The Spelthorne, Ashford Common

This might sound like a stupid question, but why did this place shut down? Presumably just because it went downhill?
I moved to Ashford about 18 months ago and was going to try this place, but soon after I got here it had shut down!!
