Oh dear what can the matter be..
Poor Northend has lost its drinkery
They should have supported it from Monday to Saturday..

They wont be drinking in there!!!!!

Im amazed by the comments recently added by people who visit this pub. We have recently lost our village pub due to people running it down and The Red Lion at Northend is far from a bad pub. Ok the landlord has decided to move on but good luck to him. If I remember rightly Northend wouldnt have a pub if it wasn't for the current landlord???? It is still the same village pub and still busy. The food is still as good as it has always been, very good ales, with pleasant bar staff. Also the pub still opens all day Sunday which is what it always has done. In the current climate it is up to the locals to support their pub not run it down to closure. Perhaps the locals should remember how it used to look the last time it closed and rather than dig its own grave, support it or lose it or perhaps they want it to be pulled down and replaced with houses just like ours will end up!!
