Wainwrights Inn, Great Langdale

This pub has always been great, we have been going for the last 15+ years and never had a problem until now! We arrived wanting to have a meal, all the tables were full so we sat in the private garden down the steps (This was agreed this with the bar man). When we went to order food they had stopped serving for 15-30 minutes as they had no staff, I�m not sure why they couldn�t take the order and let us know it would be delayed? When we finally got to the till to order we were told that we couldn�t have the food there, an argument and a few snide comments later they agreed... We took our plates back inside as a gesture of goodwill as they were in the garden. The manager only muttered to her colleague that the place was like a car park as we were in the way in doing so... Not sure they now have any idea here of customer service and is very expensive for the limited choice of menu. I will not be eating here again, I will walk down to the Britannia Inn Elterwater.
