The Black Bull, Poulton Le Fylde

The Black Bull has reopened on the August Bank Holiday weekend 2009 and wow what a difference. The place has been completely refurbished, but tastefully and retaining the oldly wordly charm that it had before, with a lighter airy feel. The original landlord Jin is running the place, but you can see that the new owners are really serious about putting this pub on the map and have spent some serious money. Jim runs a good cellar and the Guinness is one of the best I have tasted outside of Dublin. Fantastic bitters for the CAMRA connoiseur's. The food is very reasonably prices and the menu is very original with plenty of choice. The food was all homecooked and I challenge anyone to find a better cheese pie. I did not hear one single complaint, but loads of favourable comments from the locals. Highly recommended. This place is too good to close again give it your support.
