The Racehorse, Carshalton

This was the first time we had visited the Racehorse since it had been taken over by new management. We had an excellent meal there and have no hesitation in recommending the Racehorse as a place to have an enjoyable wholesome meal. Expect to pay �35 for a two course meal with coffee for two people (excluding drinks). However, the seating really does need some very urgent refurbishment work - they are really bad. Even a good scrub with a proprietery cleaner might make a difference. However, having said that the food more than made up for the shortcomings and we will make this restaurant one of our regular haunts.
