Woah the last review said 'good quality food' are they mad? I went with my husband and two boys today. My hubby ordered deep fried Brie, which was burnt over fried cheap brie. I had a Jacket with Beans and salad garnish, the potato was fine, there was a teaspoon of beans on each potato, of which were super economy beans, the salad garnish a gesture of lettuce! My youngest had pasta in tomato sauce. This was possibly the worst pasta dish I have ever seen, it was a bland tomato puree sauce containing over cooked pasta that my son couldnt pick up with a fork as it fell apart, bits of bacon fat, and black bits from the pan. Horrific, I would not let him eat it! My eldest had fish fingers and chips, again served with a pale orange display of economy beans. The fish fingers again, brunt deep fried with a mash like consistancy of fish, again an example of the bad quality food they buy in, the chips were OK.
When I showed a staff member the burnt brie, he took the plate to the landlord, who spent what seemed like ten minutes talking about the plate of food. Then finally he came over and rudely asked me what my problem was. I said my husband couldnt eat burnt brie, and straight away he said "well he's started eating it!" Yes, he had started but that was as far as it got. I asked for a refund, he was very hesitant, it was extremley awkward, I could feel my cheeks burning! finally after much thought he said he'd deduct some money for some of the potato wedges my husband had eaten. Then I told him about my sons pasta, he sternly said "No more" It's such a shame the owner has little customer service skills. They need to buy better quality ingrediants, try not to deep fat fry everything till its black, improve customer service skills, explain when ordering that they will shout your table number (I had to ask what the process was) and have I mentioned better quality ingrediants?? Avoid eating here unless you want to get ripped off!!!
