The one and only time i visited this pub under its current management - there was an argument over double charging. The landlady who had been taking money when drinks ordered in the usual way suddenly declared drinks ordered an hour earlier had not been paid for claiming she had not taken the money then because one person had not finished drink and not ready for service of next drink ordered. never heard of publican not taking the money when drink ordered unless tab agreed upon -a recipe for arguments . My friend was intimdated into paying what she was sure was for a second time since she had no proof that had paid when ordered. Subsequently the landlord handled situation in an aggressive manner.

Beer is passable; beer "garden" is part of car park adjacent to quite a busy road. several more attractive and welcoming pubs in the area. this one to be avoided.
