The Royal Oak, Hampton

Living within walking distance of this pub, and after reading the reviews I though I would 'bite the bullet' and give it a go. I did not expect much except for to be met with a cold shoulder by people who would be better suited to a tattoo parlour, but at least I could say I tried it.
I visited on Friday night when there was a live band playing (who I must say were very good!). The place was very busy but I could not see and form of 'bodyart' anywhere, quite the opposite, the bar staff were well dressed (shirts, etc.) and despite being very busy the service was excellent and suprisingly quick!
I did not feel out of place in the slightest and from my experience I would happily recommend it to others of all ages.
