Some friends and I went here friday night and what started out as an enjoyable relaxed night ended in a nightmare.

A friend and I were not allowed back in after going outside for a cigarette and were told we were trouble makers but given no explanation why. We did absolutely nothing wrong. When another friend asked the bouncer who could barely speak English what the problem was, he was punched and beaten so badly that his face is now unreconisble. Another friend trying to pull him away from the bouncer was thrown to the ground with such force his arm was broken. The manager did nothing but smiled and looked on.

These were unprovoked attacks and the bouncers behaved in a shocking fashion. Be warned if you are planning a night out at this pub incase you suffer the same fate.

The matter is now with the police.

I think it only right to post the news that the manager who was the topic of many posts has sadly passed away. Regardless of what many of you thought of him and his management style, I would hope that you will all show some respect to his loyal staff and partner for which this is clearly a very difficult time.

I knew the manager personaly and whilst he could be difficult at times, was equally loyal and huge hearted to those in genuine need of help and guidance.

Im sure you will all appreciate that a pub such as this has its own challenges and demands and it is not an easy task to manage as some of you assume.

Rest in peace Tony.
