Bell Inn, Shepherdswell

Made a visit to this pub this afternoon, and I have to say how disappointed I am with the current management, Luckily they are leaving very soon and I don't intend to visit again until they have left. This pub is situated in an idyllic village on a green and right next to the School, we did used to visit quite regularly before school pick up, but got very frustrated with the service as often were over looked for service, only for any one else at all to be served before us Mums. This Pub could be a little goldmine if it were to welcome the Mum's from school, instead of grumpily criticising . There was no one else in this pub at all and whilst sat in the garden the landlord came out to moan at the children who were all behaving very well and pulled into line if they thought about behaving differently. The Bar maid on duty was as lovely as ever, and even gave the children balls to play with, however the landlord didn't seem to like this or our business. Therefore we left and will not visit again until the new management are in place. maybe they will be more welcoming to their locals under a certain age instead of only encouraging the old and infirm like the management.
