The Lord Palmerston, Dartmouth Park
One of my favourites. Usually go here for some food rather than just as a drinking pub, the steak is better than all the other local gastropubs and apparently has always been a good lunchtime stop since back in the day.
Somewhat agree about the punters but although you do get some attitude from New Labour wannabe Hampstead types this is a little unfair as there is usually a differing range of punters in here. One of the local old boys brings his dog in for a beer which is always a good sign of a relaxed pub in my book.

Been coming to The Lamb on and off for 10 years. Being a South London boy the Youngs and the wide range of other beers is always welcome. Small, intimate place with a good bunch of punters of varying types and the staff are always friendly. Most of my friends who have visited like the place and some are real converts. Always give it a look in when I am in this part of town.

The Kings Head, Marylebone
Visited for the first time a few weeks back for a quiet drink. Scattering of punters ranging from innoffensive old boys who had set in for the day, big family having an impromptu get together and a couple of cosy couples.
Friendly barman, comfortable punters and nice relaxed vibe. A good place for nursing a pint away from the usual Marylebone crowd.
