The Oxford, Manchester

Visit this pub far too often. It's a little bit tatty but the quiz is awesome and they always seem to have an interesting range of beers on. The ale changes pretty regularly so I guess they go through quite a lot. I've not eaten here but it looks alright and pretty cheap. It gets rammed during the day so you might struggle for a table. Oh and theres jugs of tap water on the bar so you don't have to put up with the pitiful look on the bar man's face when you ask, unless you want ice in it.

The Temple, Manchester

I love bringing people here when visiting. Half decent beer with some bottles ales like Bluebird. The toilets are proper Grim. Can also attract an odd crowd of city slickers and lairy football fans so be careful when you visit.

The Knott Bar, Deansgate

Lovely pub! A bit tatty round the edges now but in a charming way. The beer is a little on the pricey side but the food is great value for huge hearty portions (you need to butterfly the burger to fit it in your mouth!)
