Can't believe I'd never been here before ... I went down last Thursday to see live favourites of mine BONES, who ended up having awesome support .. ALL FOR FREE. Proceeded to get drunk on drink deals and wonder around the venue. There are three rooms, two which play live music and have awesome DJs, and one which is a kind of walkway with a bar on one side and stables on the other, amazing! All the stables were booked up so I wasn't allowed to go and investigate but they looked amazing and I'm definitely getting in on that action in the future.

The Marksman, Shoreditch

If you want a nice beer, a great scotch egg (yeah, you know - one of those homemade ones where the sausage meat is fresh and the yoke runny), and a relaxed and familiar atmosphere away from the pretension of Shoreditch, come here. My favourite local.
