My wife and I have been several time during the last year, and always had a warm welcome and an excellent meal. Today I took a group of 14 walkers for lunch. We hugely enjoyed ourselves, and were made to feel the pub enjoyed having us. All of us were appreciative of the food. Yes, the menu is limited, but in return you get wonderful home cooking. I particularly recommend the liver and bacon, and the stilton and broccoli soup. Service was very friendly, and as fast as good food cooked to order allows. If you want to enjoy yourselves at this pub you certainly will. Keith Gibson, Feb 2011.
