Lounge, Chorlton cum Hardy

Hate this place, full of scalliles as its open a whole hour later than most other pubs! Has got to be a fire hazard as after 11pm on a Friday and Saturday night you cant move, let in way more people than can actually fit.
They also do some stupid thing about buying a small packet of pringles if you in there after 11pm, whats that about!!!
Beers shit, overpriced and generally lacks any atmosphere whatsoever! Avoid at all costs!!!
I do beleive that since the refurb the food is meant to be out of this world, but ill take your word for it! The guy that owns it thinks hes gods gift to women aswell and is such a letch!!!

The Horse and Jockey, Chorlton cum Hardy

This has got to be the best pub in Chorlton by far, whilst i do agree that there are too many hippies and yuppies its still full of locals and you will always see a familiar face. One comment i do have however is that when any footy is on, hoards of people whom i have NEVER seen (bearing in mind that i am in there most nights) take over the pub so that us locals cant get served at the bar or even get a seat for that matter, then once the final whistle goes they all sod off!!! STAY IN YOUR OWN LOCAL TO WATCH THE FOOTBALL AND STOP DARKENING OUR DOORSTEP!!!!
Other than that i have had some great nights in the Jockey, particularly good around Christmas when they extend their hours and have a DJ on. Good selection of drinks and have some good offers on, bottle of wine for a fiver!!!! A must for any pub goer!
