The Portland Arms, St Albans

Have been to this pub several times over the last month and have found it to be a hidden gem. The ales are in immaculate order, the service from the staff harks back to a time when customers were the most important part of a public house (hard to find anywhere these days) and the general atmosphere was warm (especially next to their lovely fire) and welcoming. Strongly recommend it, but would rather it was kept a well known St Albans secret!
