Amble Inn, Harpenden

Recently discovered this pub, and we can't believe how lucky we are to have it on our doorstep, great real ales - especially the Hertford brewed Red Squirrel, and after the Sunday Roast we had last week I can say the food is pretty decent too.

The Hare and Hounds, St Albans

just found this place through the st. albans food and drink festival and pleasantly surprised. We went on a monday night when then quiz was on, which was very entertaining, there was only bar food available as it was a monday but still a great night out.
