George & Dragon, Potterne

I went to the George and Dragon in Potterne a couple of sundays ago and had a lovely meal in comfortable, warm surroundings. You could tell all the food was homemade and also that all the staff wanted to make sure you had the best visit possible from pouring your pint the right way to making you feel welcome in general.

With the number of country pubs dwindling, it was such a pleasure to find one that was so inviting.

Loved the pool table and darts (not many pubs seem to have those these days either) and the log fire was a nice finishing touch.
