This is one of the best pubs in the area and as its website (peltonarmspub.com) says, the best kept secret in Greenwich.
I guess that's because of its location on the back streets rather than in the more popular town area itself.
I don't know what NorTom's comments are all about - it's neither kitsch nor gaudy and it doesn't aim at anyone in particular except maybe those who like good beer, good food and great music. It's no more expensive than any of the others around and compared to the likes of the Trafalgar Tavern and Frank the Yank's other pubs, it's downright cheap! It can get crowded when some of the bands are there but that's because they're good!

What a great little pub! Myself and a couple of friends were boating in the area a few weeks back and came across this pub after rejecting the big noisy one near the station. The food was exceptionally good with all the ingredients locally sourced. The beer was first rate and the friendly staff and owners made our brief visit all the more enjoyable. We'll be returning soon even though we come from the Greenwich area.
