The Union Tavern, Clerkenwell

I recently visited this pub, mainly to eat before a night out. lovely looking pub, with great food and helpful, friendly staff. Only a couple of ales on, but they were good enough. Definitely worth a revisit for the food alone.
I won't rate the pub as yet, as I've only been the once. But do give it a go.

The Red Lion, Isleworth

This is probably the best real ale pub in London. There's always a decent selection on offer along with a selection of European beers. Lovely staff and landlord, who've turned this from a good, to a fantastic pub in the few years they've been involved. My northern relatives always insist on a visit when they're in town.

The Rising Sun, Isleworth

While it's true that the Rising Sun isn't the best pub in Isleworth, (the Red Lion has that covered) it's a friendly enough place. The Pride is well kept, but there's more lager drinkers than ale drinkers. It's my preferred place to watch football, as there's never any hassle and always good natured. There's always been the problem with the high turnover of landlords, it's essentially a family pub, it needs a family landlord. It's just been decorated, if they did the loos, it would be money well spent.
