The Star, Godalming

Mostly good reviews i've spotted, some people obviously diving out of the range of their tastebuds, a fantastic pub, such a mix of spirits ales and scrumpies let alone the bottled variety. the quality of the guest ales rarely falter and as much you would have a hard time finding alot of them in surrey, if you look above your head as you go in you can see it's a right place right time sort of pub that can pull strings to bring in a variety you would usually find and expos or large festivals (of course not all at the same time) good rum too. as far as food; the menu is well prepared and put on a plate even better. regular barbq's and the eventful hog roast isn't far away from an almost quarterly beer festival, always colourful and some of the chalkboards can be great to look at. the summer promises music and more of the same. try not to get distracted from what this place really has going on.
