I visited this pub with my wife last Saturday when we visited Bath for the weekend. Bath Rugby were at home. the place was mainly full of rugby fans. The atmosphere was friendly and the beer was ok. I ordered a pint of the local Abbey best, which was cloudy. I asked the barmaid to change it for something else, which she did without hesitation. This pub is not as good as the Old Green Tree, but definately worth a visit for a pint or two.

The Basketmakers Arms, Brighton
This is the best back street boozer in Brighton. Its a shame that Gales got taken over by Fullers cos I was weaned on Gales Ales when I grew up in Pompey. However, my palate is not refined enough to taste the diference between a pint of gales HSB and the Fullers version so I wont make a fuss about that.. The pub itself is always buzzing with an easy going mix of customers and friendly staff. The food is cheap, but well presented and filling.
I usually go in there on a Saturday lunchtime with my wife to puntuate mooching around the North Laine area and can highly recommend this pub. Dont miss it.
