The Wenlock Arms, Hoxton

I recently moved to the area and went to the Wenlock for the first time last night. We got there for the tail end of the jazz band's set, which created a lovely atmosphere. The bar staff were friendly and efficient, and the beer was good. Locals were mostly friendly and chatty, apart from one local yob who took exception to my boyfriend's long hair, and a woman who I was told is the landlord's wife, who got very confrontational with me when I took a wrong turn on the way to the ladies. Other than that it was a pleasant evening.
