Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese Inn, Castleton

I visited this pub one summer a few years ago on a first visit to the Peak District. My partner & I didn't have a place booked to stay, and being a Saturday everywhere was full, but Ken gave us a caravan for the night with a breakfast, all free! Ad- mittedly, we did book for a week's stay with them, but we were extremely happy with the friendly welcome from Ken & Angie and all the staff. They even got my favourite Marmite especially for my toast. We have been back a few times since and will keep doing so. I would very highly recommend them to anyone. The area and village are beautiful to explore and relax in.
