i had a terrible meal whilst eating in there with a friend,when i complained,the landlord slapped the money back in my hand and asked us to leave!terrible place!
have found the carlton on carlton vale just 5 mins away,it is brilliant,now thats what i call a well run pub!

im very sad to hear of the sad death of tony,he will be greatly missed,ive ran pubs myself and know how difficult it can be,but he really knew how to run this pub!
i agree that he was a difficult man at times,even my own friend was 'barred'by him,but he was the boss and his word was the last!
i dont envy any manager who takes over from him,as its not an easy pub,only tony made it look easy!
i hope the standards and cleanliness remain as high as tony kept them.
to his partner and his staff,i send my deepest sympathy.
for everyones sakes i hope you all keep up the great standards of this pub!
