The Orange Tree, Havering Atte Bower
I make this brief as I've better things to do...unlike those of you to who this applies....
Zaphod - No idea what a 'sock' posting is but I'll live with that as I'll live with not getting the point of your posting???
ChrisP87 - I think you're a stupid as you want to be. Thanks for pointing out that the Orange Tree is a pub NOT a hotel - first class observation.
Biker - A little more construction in your criticism BUT completely wrong I'm afraid (please see original reply back to DavidWaspnest) I'm not management nor am I staff, I'M A CUSTOMER.
Beersupper - The shame I feel at being 'sussed out' at favourably reviewing this pub will not play heavily on my mind nor have I, nor will I, 'cry' about it, believe me. Give this pub or any other 'a miss', you're a grown man (I'm guessing?!) feel free to do what you want.
Get lives guys. This is a 'pub review' forum, not a 'disagree with, or discredit, someone elses review' forum. I'll leave you all to your own devices now whilst I go and have a beer - maybe in the Orange Tree or maybe somewhere else. Bye bye.

DavidWaspnest - I have asked for your post to be deleted on the basis that it has nothing to do with the Orange Tree and is totally wrong in it's assumption and accussation. What's risible is the effort you must exert in seeking out pubs with more than one good posted comment and then insinuating that they must have been written by the same person because they have a common sentiment, err...that generally means that the subject matter deserves the comments, nothing more. Do the drinking community of the UK a favour and keep your conspiracy theories to yourself, there's a good lad.

Dear oh dear...this could stretch on but my intention is not to bore people looking for particular pub reviews with drivel...so I'll make this my last response to posts with me as the main topic or those directed at me.
Not touchy-feely Biker, just standing my ground (for what it's worth given that this site appears to attract many who gain more from arguing than reviewing). Apparently the purpose of my post was known more by others than by me. Given that some of you apparently know me so well I feel guilty that you weren't on my Christmas card list.
ChrisP87 - I wont ask the question because I wont reply but your problem is either with me, 4% lagers or mass production of any lager. If it's me then sorry to have offended you. If it's 4% lager then sorry your taste isn't for 4% lager. If it's mass produced beverages then, once again, sorry these aren't to your taste. As I'm certain that this pub isn't providing what you want then I'll assume that you wont be going there. I say 'assume' because I do not know you, given that fact and the fact that I've said what I wanted to say, I'll now leave you to get on with your life and wont be troubling you with my opinions anymore.
On a 'pub' related subject (sorry to veer of topic) if you believe that any ale or lager, mass produced or otherwise of any ABV, is of an unchangable, similar, high standard across all pubs then you either have no taste or you don't drink. Also, as you are waiting for me to explain, it might surprise you to know that line-cleaning techniques and frequency, along with cask and barrel storage temperature and time, play a part in quality of taste. Although the Orange Tree Becks Vier may not be better than that in 'every other establishment in England', I know it's of a cleaner taste than many other pubs I've been in. I hope that satisfies your curiosity.
