The Hoop and Toy, South Kensington

I am frankly amazed by the above reviews of this pub. My boyfriend and I wanted a traditional English pub serving no-frills (or at least somewhere "frills" were optional) grub and that's what we got. It was a VERY busy Sunday afternoon and our only complaint was that desert took ages - but once informed the staff couldn't do enough to make amends. Some people expect far too much in my opinion. It was a great pub, excellent atmosphere, good food at excellent prices for London! We tipped well and will return.
