The Old Mill (Dunnings Mill), East Grinstead
Went for lunch on a Wednesday, didn't think we'd need to book. Luckily we got there early, as it is obviously very popular and rightly so. Service was excellent - couldn't be faulted (unlike a previous review I had read - they must have gone on a bad day). Food was pretty good too. I could criticise a little, but then this is a 'pub' not a five star restaurant. I would definitely go there again and recommend it to others.

The Bent Arms, Lindfield
Went for the early evening special - 2 courses 7.95 3 courses 9.95. Menu was fairly limited and not particularly fancy but the food was good; well cooked, well presented, service was great, very attentive. I would definitely go there again, not for a special event, but for a good value-for-money meal.
The friends we went with live locally and have enjoyed several early evening meals there in recent months.
The bread rolls alone are worth the visit, especially the onion scrolls!
