Excellent choice of real ales and ciders and very good food. �5.95 for delcious home-made pate, apple bread and chutney is certainly not expensive!

The Lion, Teddington

Although the layout is not what I'd have chosen if someone asked and I was sad to see the tamarisk tree go, I love the 'new' Lion. All credit to the new (French) owners for having a vision and a passion about what they do. The new conservatory and dining area looks like it was always meant to be there. The beer is well kept - I should know as I only drink quickly when it is! As well as Doombar and Pride, they now have a 3rd guest beer most of the time - most recently Woodford Wherry and Twickenham Naked Ladies. The food is excellent - quality ingredients and dishes you would not easily prepare yourself at home. Most importantly, there is a friendly welcome and a real neighbourhood feel back in the pub.
