The Greyhound Inn, Burgh by Sands

This country pub had good service, scrummy food and friendly locals in a rather remote setting. A game of darts and a relaxing drink in the beer garden was great after a delightful lunch. This pub is a perfect refuelling stop for any hiker doing Hadrian's Wall or person passing threw. This pub was not cheap but not notably more expensive than any other small pub on the route.
