Princess Victoria, Shepherds Bush
Just had a major make over. They've kept the old bar and introduced a separate dining room, which does gastro pub food. It has an extensive wine list, probably the biggest i've seen in a pub and you can buy the wine to take home as well. Extensive beers, including Timothy Taylor. I've only been a few times, and have yet to eat their, so the verdicts still out but as a local I'm hoping for high things. One criticism is the staff all wearing black shirts, which makes it look like a chain pub and not your friendly local - what happened to individuality!

Hope and Anchor Inn, Hope Cove
Been going to Hope Cove for years and every year the pub seems to get worse. The food is overpriced and poor. We were served a burger which cost 9, which you would expect to get from Iceland. Not only that but my friends had been cooked with the plastic separator used to keep the burgers apart in storage! We complained to a member of staff, and asked to see the manager but he did have the guts to come over, in fact after hanging round for a bit we gave up as he kept on avoiding us. Unfortunately they can get away with it because it is the only pub after the Lobster pot closed some years back and the manager knows it. Avoid.

The Millbrook Inn, South Pool
Always do a walk to this pub for lunch, getting the ferry across from Salcombe, and never dissapointed. They source most food locally and my opinion the food has got better. Had a great burger, which was streaks ahead of any I have had in other local pubs in the area. What could be better than sunning yourself by the brook at the rear, sampling one of their local ales.
