The Rose and Crown, Shilton

Having visited the Rose and Crown at Shilton we found the food excellant and the prices reasonable, however, upon using the toilets, ( I the gents and my wife the ladies ) we got the shock of our lives. Filthy would be a complement, no hot water to wash our hands properly in either toilet and with many varieties of vegitation growing up the walls and in the trough itself. Also, with holes in the wall of the urinal itself providing a haven for all types of bugs, germs and viruses not to mention the creatures that live within, what are the chances of someone going home with some tropical disease? On top of this, the bar staff can often be seen using the ladies toilet, however, and I quote my wife " they do what they have to, straighten their hair then return to serving food and drink without washing their hands" In this day and age with the possibility of developing who knows what I reccommend avoiding this place at all costs.
