The Holly Bush, Shortfield

We used the Holly Bush twice while we visited family in Frensham. We were extremely pleased to see the pub has undergone an extensive makeover since a previous visit, the new owners have transformed the place - a remarkable improvement!

We started the weekend with a fabulous dinner, we were surprised to be given a handwritten menu but were told that the food was fresh, cooked from scratch and the menu changed on a daily basis. When the food arrived it was well presented on a wooden board which was a nice touch, the food itself was delicious we were all pleased with our choices including 2 steaks, cooked to perfection, loin of cod and a homemade burger. My parents who live in Frensham eat there a lot since the new, (and very friendly), owners took over and say the food is always of a high standard, our meal certainly didn't disappoint!!!

We returned for a quick lunch at the end of our trip and enjoyed big fat sandwiches made from crusty bread and plenty of filling - very yum!!

I felt compelled to write a review, as we were so happy with the new changes at the Holly Bush, from the fabulous eclectic decor, warm welcoming ambience, the attractive and attentive bar staff to the delicious food we couldn't find a fault... We're just jealous it's not in our local town!!
