I would also like comment on the miserable landlord, I admit you can walk to the pub, and be fronted by a sourfaced geordie, but this is part of his charm, I for one have never felt cheated, he really knows his ales, and how to care for them, as do the rest of the staff. this is a tradional pub, with a traditional landlord( yes he is toothless)with great ales, great food, and good traditional values, A place I feel happy talking football golf and even politics, while having a laugh with Mr grumpy behind the bar
