The Village Inn, Witchford

We visited this pub for a quick pint last night. Before serving us the barmaid (friendly but overworked I suppose) was called away to serve food. We waited and were then served a very sour pint. We asked for a replacement, but before we could get one the barmaid was called away to serve food again - three times! We waited for more than ten minutes and when she came back we asked nicely for a refund - she needed to ask the landlady in the kitchen for the till key. The landlady asked her if we had ordered food(no) and then said that if we were so rude we could ... (didn't quite hear) off - so politely requesting a decent pint from barstaff who don't keep disappearing is rude (presumably if you order food you can be as rude as you like!)
