Norwegian Blue, Norwich

Think everyone's been a bit unkind to a decent place to go out. If you want something a little different in your evening before you hit the clubs then this is a great place. Best of it is upstairs where there is a second bar and lots of nice sofas and things to sit on. Admittedly, the upstairs bar isn't always open and on a busy Friday or Saturday night it can take a few minutes to get a drink, especially if only the downstairs bar is open.

They do a decent pint and many shots if you're feeling brave, plus lots of cocktails too. This is not like Wetherspoons (The_Man), and this becomes apparent in the prices. Not stupid but not amazingly cheap either. They also have decent music, although this can be very loud and if you want a quiet and gentle conversation on your Saturday night out then this is not the place. However anyone that wants a quiet and gentle conversation on their night out shouldn't be out in Norwich!

The prices mean that you probably shouldn't just stay here all night, but it's definitely one for the pre-club crawl. I personally think there is a fair mix of people, although I'm sure on some nights there will be lots of girls (pgazz) and sometimes lots of fellas (Searching_for_H_Files). But that's just life I'm afraid. The place looks good and is comfy and definitely worth a visit.

Oh and I'm afraid that�s coming from a university graduate that was on the reserve list for the University Challenge team (The_Man - who proved his University Challenge credentials by spelling 'university' wrong and just using swear words to look good). Then again maybe if I had of been selected for the main team then I might have changed my opinion.

Just go to this bar and see what you think. Don't let these pretentious people put you off. If you don't enjoy a good night out with the lads or girls and let you hair down, then maybe you should stay at home.
