The Loughpool Inn, Sellack

Been here numerous times in the past because of excellent food and service,didnt know it was under new ownership till we arrived.The food has gone downhill badly ,my choice was not available(no reason given) and fish pie was suggested by the charming waitress @�12.95. It turned out to be like a tin of tuna with a strange sauce topped with a loose fitting piece of dry filopastry,served up with slightly overdone chips and a spoonful of frozen(i guess) peas. The menu stated "cod,daddock and prawns , of which there was non of. My wifes "steakpie" was served up the same,ie chips and peas. My chosen sweet,sticky toffe pud, had been microwaved to oblivion !! We will not be going there again and really sad as we used to go 50 miles round trip for the previous owners superb homemade food and hospitality. Overall tasteless and overpriced food but,charming waitress
