Good news... we have been twice since the new company has taken over, and it is much better. The main improvement is that the staff keep you informed of your food order and when it will be arriving. The food is really worth eating too.

Alright for a pint, but don't even THINK about ordering any food here! We decided to give it another go as ther was a 'new menu', ordering fish and chips with bread and butter and chicken skewers at 8.06pm. After asking politely at 8.30 and and rather more forcefully at 8.40, the fish turned up a few minutes later. HOWEVER the rest of the order didn't appear until 8.55. Not being funny, but the kitchen should concentrate less on gimmicks (the fish was sitting on brown paper and the lemon had been grilled and concentrate more on getting the food out before the customers starve or burst a blood vessel trying to get any information out of the sheepish barstaff. I mean how more can you mess with fish and chips! Cold mushies, cold fish, and blimmin matchstick fries and a roll and butter! I was expecting to make a chip butty for goodness' sake!!!
When the guy cleared the plates he didn't make any eye contact and I had to shout 'yes it was fine, thanks for asking' - he looked at me like I was crazy! He got that right BTW, but REALLY! Customer is NOT King in this disappointing local. Boo.
