well just returned to this wonderful public house.
the food is exceptional.
today i tried the chilli.
this was truely to die for.
wonderful presentation and was absolutley perfect to eat.

the chef chris should soon get the pub its michelin star. come on michelin i have been to many top star eateries and this ranks up as one of the best.
the chef chris reminds me of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. it could be his double.im sure chris will get his own tv show as he is just as good cook if not far superior.

jill and steve who run the pub are so welcoming and look after every customer. it is also good to keep seeing the head brewer of greene king come into the pub and drink the beer at this pub. so reputation for food and beer is top notch ,keep up the good work and i look forward to trying my next meal at this wonderful place.

this is an up to date review of this pub.
i have visited many pubs in my time but this one tops the lot.
the land lord and lady have been there over a year now.
they have turned this pub into one of the best in the country. if not the best.
they are welcoming to all who enter.
they have two top class chefs for food. chris and harry. this pub should achieve a michelin star if someone from michelin visited it.
the food is to die for. i personally recommend the steak and ale pie.
this pub is a greene king pub and when you see the head brewer of greene king always drinking there then you know the beer is perfect for any ale drinker.
a nice roaring fire in the winter will keep you warm.
so do go along and visit this wonderful pub.
make this a pub to visit before you die as you will be annoyed if you never go to it.
