The Queen Adelaide, Shepherds Bush
Before this pub became my local, thus earning iself a couple of visits, I'd put it down as one of those places on Uxbridge Road best avoided. Sure, it's very much a working man's pub with a not-especially-classy clientele but I've never noticed any bad atmosphere within. It's cheap (2.85 for a Heineken), bright and spacious and they have plenty of screens for sport.
There are probably plenty of people who will be put off by the chavvy nature of most of the punters (as I was before I went) but it's really just a regular pub dishing up drinks at decent prices. The food menu was equally cheap but I'd be willing to bet that would be reflected in the quality.
I'll go back because it's at the bottom of my road but it's not the best pub in the area.

I like this pub. It used to be my local, located as it was at the bottom of the road and I often enjoyed stopping off for a cheeky solo pint on the way home from work. If the weather's fine and you get there early enough to catch the afternoon sun before it disappears behind the building, then the outside terrace is a fine spot indeed.
Things are also very nice inside, with a relaxed ambience, aided by friendly staff and a decent clientele. I haven't explored the menu very far but it looks decent enough. They have a good range of continental beers on tap and decent bottles beers/ciders etc.
I don't live round the corner any more but will still happily travel to what is - I think - one of the best pubs in the Bush.

An essential visit when Aberdeen or Scotland are playing but nothing special otherwise. It's always a treat to find a Deuchars IPA (the only IPA worth drinking!) in London, and it and the 6X which accompanies it always seem to be well kept.
The food is average pub grub, fairly priced.
Basically if you're an Aberdeen and/or Scotland fan looking for somewhere in town to watch the footie, you could do a lot worse, although it gets HEAVING for the internationals.
