The Wellington, Birmingham

Unless you can get a seat by the windows on the street, it's a bit of a dark womb, this pub. But the beers are many and varied. You can take your own food. The pub cat, Wellie, is delightful. Staff friendly. Sweeties in the loos! What's not to like?

The Jolly Crispin, Upper Gornal

I like this pub just not as much as I used to. Not such a wide choice of ales and there were. Staff not as.. um.. visible, shall we say. It's a lot quieter than it used to be. I tend to go in on Saturday afternoons and sometimes we've been the only 2 in there. It's a shame. Not sure what's happened.

The Waggon and Horses, Halesowen

The pub has lots of hardbacked seats - nothing too comfy - but the beer and food make up for it. An amazing choice of beers including one specifically for dogs! The cobs and cold pies (turkey & ham, pork) are fabulous. Only gripe is they recently started charging for gherkins. Boo! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the pub-goers talkative. Even if you went on your own, you'd soon make friends.
