I must disagree with the previous 2 comments. The only positive thing i can say about this bar is that you can drink outside. The staff are terrible they look a mess. They don't acknowledge you when your waiting to be served sorry if your lucky enough to be served. We waited almost 10 minutes, there was only 6 people at the bar and still we didn't get served in turn instead we were blatently blanked. The one good thing was that while we were waiting we could observe just how dirty the bar area actually was. I dont think i have ever been in a bar where ther are so many beer flies, the brasso could do with a polish too!!! Maybe i am just being too picky??? Best go to The Kings Arms just around the corner much better or maybe The Wellington.

This pub has really changed in the last 2 years, not only has the music quietened down abit but also theres a good range of music. Tends to play alot of 80's classics thurs/fri. Real ales are almost always on although there are still only 4 to choose from one being a guest ale which changes every month. Food is great portion size is good too. The managers are always willing to listen to the customers and i think try and push the staff into having a laugh behind the bar which you dont find nowadays. Plasma tv for football/rugby - they even change the channel for you if you ask, we watched jackass at 10.30pm!!! what more could you ask for. Starting to be more female friendly with more female staff than any other bar that i have ever been in around waterloo. Good promotions too wine 8.00 a bottle - Quality.

I frequent here quite often and i find it one of the better venues around westminster. During the christmas period it was absolutely rammed to the rafters catering for all the office workers around the area with their 3 course christmas meals which resulted in a limited menu for us normal folk for around 3 - 4 weeks.
Now normal service has resumed and i find it a pleasant place away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets and take full advantage of the 2 for 1 burgers which are great value. They still run the half price wine promotion every Tuesday so can be quite busy that day especially in the evening.
Reals ales when i visited - Pedigree, Burton Bitter, Cross Buttock and Porter had the latter at 4.7% and have to say was actually quite good.
