The Cornish Arms, St Merryn

Visited this pub whilst on vacation with 6 friends; we had read favourable reviews and wanted to check it out as we knew it was part of the Rick Stein group. Whilst the prices are reasonable we were thouroughly disappointed with the food and the service. The chips were all undercooked and the cheese provided with the ploughmans was tasteless. Two of the dishes that we had ordered were unavailable but we were not advised of this until the time everyone elses food was brought to the table. The side dishes of veg and salad where not brought out until we were half way through our mains. At the end of the meal we told the waitress how disappointed we were with the food and she merely replied that it was not their fault as we had ordered as three separate groups for the table. Would not visit this pub again for food and would not recommend to a friend.
