The Clinton Arms, Littleham

I visited this pub recently, for pre and post-funeral food and drink. First of all, ordering food was a hoot. I waited by the till with a sign above it saying 'Food Ordering Area'. After about 9 minutes, a lovely little girl approached me and asked, "do you want to order some food". This was good observation on her part, as, like I said, there was a sign above saying 'Food Ordering Area'.

I ordered the all day breakfast for me and two other dishes, including nachos for my sister.

I sat down having placed my order. Then I overheard a member of staff say to the girl who took my order, "We're out of nachos". What did she do? Carry on serving another customer. So, I went and queued again so I could speak to the girl and confirm that what I had overheard about the Nachos was true. After struggling to add up the customer in front�s order with a calculator because of her �long finger nails� and about 12 minutes later, she said, "Yes".
"OK. Can I order the chicken and bacon baguette in it's place please". Sorted.

Sat down and waited for food. The watery soup arrived for Marie, the chicken and bacon baguette arrived for my sister, and the tuna sandwich arrived for Dad. My all day breakfast arrived about 7 minutes later. Several of us had to change our cutlery because of encrusted old food lurking between the fork prongs. This place either does not have a dishwasher and employs an inadequate human version, or has an electric dishwasher that uses cold water.

Cut to funeral.

Return to pub (why?) for post-grief drinks. My cousin is charged about �4.85 for a white wine spritzer. Perhaps charge this in London yes, but not here! The glass was dirty, so we asked for another drink in a clean glass. The barmaid (who was clearly pissed off with being busy) looked at the glass suspiciously and then glared at us like we were asking her to wipe a horse�s arse. Then replaced it �begrudgingly I think.
