Fairly small, one-room pub with a village focus; pool table, etc. Serves well-kept London Pride and Speckled Hen. Food also good: new owners intend to develop the restaurant side of the business.

The Church Inn, Hockley

Recently changed hands. Bathams still available and well-kept. Now open on Sundays and serving curry in addition to the famous large meals.
