The Waggon and Horses, Hartley Wintney

Nice pint of workie ticket the other day ,the other beers were courage best and gales hsb. I was served by the podgy slaphead chap behind the bar i thought he only worked in the kitchen as thats where hes always been whenever ive been to the pub in the past, still he seemed to to have the hang of it and didnt mind topping my pint up when asked . This is a traditional two bar pub with plenty of atmosphere and a seeming decent crowd of customers in the public bar with the occasional oddball thrown in for good measure. The saloon bar seems reserved for the moor senile members of the village who delight in standing in front of the toilet doors watching as people either skirt around them or plough straight through them only to have a look of bewilderment on their faces when the door smashes them in the back upon your return. Stick to the public bar and you will have a decent pint with some decent company . Well worth a visit.
