Glass House Inn, May Hill

Really nice pub inside with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It's a shame in the last few years the landlord has focussed too much on food, and it's no longer a drinkers pub with the bar often closing at 10pm on a Saturday once all the diners have gone. Having said that, the ale remains excellent, and the food is very good too. They don't take table reservations which can be annoying.

The Twelve Bells, Cirencester

It's funny they say that they specialised in steak - the steak sandwich I had was one of the worst i've ever had, really tough, the bread was stale and no chips!! To be fair, the beer was really good, but I'd have reservations about eating there again.
