The Magnet, Stockport
Quite simply one of the best pubs in Greater Manchester, never mind Stockport. Sure, the decor isn't going to win prizes, but I think the range and quality of the beer speaks for itself - cellar lady Sarah is simply one of the best in the region. The pub has a great atmosphere, friendly regulars and absolutely wonderful staff. The pool table is only 50p and the beer prices (both draft and bottled) are incredibly reasonable.
A requirement for any pub crawl in Stockport - it often features as a starting point for our Manchester trips. If only Heaton Norris station still existed!
